Step by Step guide

will help you create a routine, start with 5 minutes a day. And set your timer.

1 Gather

Choose one group of items and gather them all together.

2 Discard

Assess what you gathered and let go of items that do not serve you anymore. You can donate, sell or toss them away.

3 Organize

For the keep items, it is time to organize them into their spaces. All items should have a home. If not go back to step 2 to assess if more need to be discarded.

4 Manage

Decluttering isn’t just a one time thing. It is a habit that you need to add to your daily routine just like throwing out your trash on a weekly basis.

Overwhelmed?

Start with something simple, like discarding items that hold no sentimental value, such as obvious trash. Challenge yourself to pick up 5 pieces of trash from your living room, kitchen counter or even your bathroom floor.

Compassion

Decluttering can be challenging. Please be kind to yourself throughout the process. It is important to acknowledge your emotions and refrain from self-judgment.
